I studied photography at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in the early 1990s where I learned the ins and outs of the craft using a manual 35mm film camera. In the early part of my photography career, I utilized strictly B&W film and processed and printed everything by hand in a darkroom.
Along the way, I had the honor of working with a local senior portrait photographer where I learned the business of portrait photography. Posing, lighting techniques, and people skills became second nature.
I also worked for a time as a photojournalist for a local print news outlet. Telling stories with photographs and capturing emotion along with detail became the focal points here.
After a 10-year hiatus from the business to start my family, I have rekindled my love for photography and now relish every opportunity to provide my clients with high-quality, memorable photographs that will be cherished for generations.
As well as photographing countless weddings and events I have also been the DJ at over 30 weddings! Needless to say, I know how weddings flow and how to help couples and guests feel comfortable and have a great time.
